Over the years, we successfully implement our programs in Ukraine:

1. Medical Exchange Program . You can find more information about this program here: http://www.cfmr.org.ua/en/programs/pmo/ .

Over 300 Ukrainian physicians of various specialties (surgeons, oncologists, endocrinologists, pulmonologists, plastic surgeons, etc.) from Kiev, Odessa, Vinnitsa, Rivne, Cherkassy, Dnepropetrovsk have taken part in realization of this Program.

In particular, the Program has facilitated the promotion by corresponding member of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Chief cardiosurgeon of Ministry of Health care of Ukraine, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Fund, Professor Anatoliy Rudenko and implementation in Ukraine on the base of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after academician Amosov of АМS of Ukraine of a new technique of surgical treatment of ischemic heart disease - coronary artery bypass grafting on a beating heart (off-pump), reducing the mortality rate from 11,1% (as of 2000) to 0,5% (currently). The introduction of this technique made possible: to reduce mortality by 22 times, increase the number of operations in 9 times and significantly reduce the cost of the operation. By this technique have been already operated more than 5000 patients.

The program's success contributed to the close cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, U.S. politicians (Chet Edwards, Member of Congress; Jim Dunnam, State Representative), businessmen (Carey Hobbs, Harold Cobb, Todd Dorton, Bill Johnson, Bob Neil и др.), American and European charity organizations (International Medical Educational Foundation, Texas, USA; Bill Basansky Ministries, Florida, USA; L.I.CO.S.
